Regarding django? If so, I think middlewares, custom fields, template tags, etc may be interesting if it's focused on python I would go with asyncio which is awesome and not much ppl knows/uses it yet

most of the apps I have tried to use, lack a lot of things and the developers are not really into adding a lot of apps to them to keep them modular, the issue is that are not very user friendly.

well lets take forum, forum in django lacks notification system, when I ask the developer, he said, well look for a notification module and 'glue it'. Which basically means code into the project.

i havent tried heruko but i personally felt like pythonanywhere is more suitable for django

pythonanywhere have many restrictions in free pack
while heruko doesn't have any it's like pay if for extra things besides that it's free
