std is used in several places

we are passing 7 command line arguments in the program if any one is missing or invalid then we use std for showing that. also uses std::cout for showing what all parameters we can pass

if you are programming in cpp use if (optarg == "stdout") ....

If you are using c you can try to use strcmp instead of strcasecmp

Or you can search substring instead of compare the string
