Guys, for freshers in programming, should I start learning c or c++
Theophile
Python should come first. You'll walk your way up from there
Theophile
Python is incredible easy to learn and will help you get the feel of programming. You will also learn the terminology in programming in no time
Jay
Check "head first C" 🖖
Nana

Nana
Thanks very much

After that book I recommend " C programming language by K&R "

C, you can try C++ but C its better IMO for begginer, java is good too but C have things like pointers that can be usefull to learn and dynamic memory control, thing that java does with the garbage collector without you have to control that.
Nana
Ok
Nana
I'm offering IT at the university and we starting with C++
Nana
I'm learning

Undergraduate
Jay
Okay
.
anyone with an account in chegg.com?
Abde
Embarcadero's c++ compiler 🙈
ENOENT
I'm pretty sure borland and icc are the best compilers by output speed
ENOENT
msvc takes ages to support basic stuff and does plenty of stupid shit
ENOENT
msvc is probably one of the most hated compilers heh

1º time with a linux distro(dual boot) a friend told me to try it, but one of the better things imo is the access to Arch User Repositories
Theophile
Meaning I should install Arch instead?
correctmaninwrongplace
ITs like arch, but you already have a DE installed, and isnt as bleeding edge as arch
Theophile
I see
correctmaninwrongplace
Dont know, im going to test FEDORA next month
Theophile
I like Arch too
Theophile
The installation scares me though. It's tough
Theophile
With Arch's repositories, will it use the Arch terminal and run pacman?
Anonymous
The best first run using Linux is Ubuntu or mint

Arch is very rough for begginers

I'm not a beginner. I've installed other distros before. Never tried Manjaro and Arch

Not so true anymore, there are a lot of good simple distros out there
Theophile
I'll be doing game development, so I want a Linux distro that is not tasking on the cpu and IS well supported
Theophile
I've done some research on Manjaro and I think it might be the perfect option for me.
Theophile
Thanks for your help m, guy!🙂
ENOENT
distro literally doesn't matter
