I'm working on a simple server and client. 1. Client uploaded a large buffer for multiple of times to server. 2. TCP window size shrunk and client stopped uploading. 3. Server sent an integer to client 4. Window size increased 5. Same as step 3 6. Same as step 4 7. Upload resumed! Why?

Try moving server/client code to another thread. It’s getting stuck because window events are on the main thread, server/client getting hitchy because of that
