When ext2 was invented? It's shit in comparison with modern fs. So go on, make it bootable, when even Linux goes off that fs.

man, ext2 is forward compatible with ext3 whic is forward copatible with ext4, which is fairly modern fs and fully suits all use cases

Guys, this discussion goes nowhere...there are no filesystem developers available to make Ext2 bootable, nor btrfs, nor Ext4...so if you want to have them...you will have to provide patches. So cool, some of you can work in Ext, others in btrfs, and others in Zfs

And the best, ReactOS then would be able to boot in 5 different FS

@Connoreika I am fully agree with you, btrfs is THE way for reactos. just want to replace FAT for something more reliable than non-journaling fs. btrfs may/should be added in future for sure

I dont know how "picky" an app could be and refuse to run in EXT

But for sure it wont have any issues to run in ntfs since it was probably coded, tested and runs in Ntfs
