In Workstation its pretty unstable, so much so that ReactOS will not launch the explorer when installing the right sounddrivers for VMware

Just do not touch sound at all. Sound is broken everywhere, not only in vmware.

Sound is broken in ReactOS thats why. It should not work in vmware just because it works in vbox

Vbox is libre and free, so everybody test on it and lots of related bug-reports are coming. And more bugs are fixed.

Sound is absolutely improperly implemented in ReactOS. It does not matter that some programs are able to produce sound. It is still broken.
