in the default project at least there is a plugin declared in the gradle settings that keeps bugging me with unknown platform freebsd

Yes, but passing X11 through it... Last time I tried it was not that easy

Take a look at linux kernel version requirements, cos linux jail has an old one in 12 but relatively fresh in 13.

BSD is designed. Linux is grown.
My experience is that most Linux users are because they wanted an alternative to Microsoft Windows and BSD users are because they like how the system is build

it's a shame that many developers don't consider freebsd as a modern os and as a consequence a number of libraries and programs are not compatible with freebsd

one example is chromium, afaik the dev team doesn't officially support BSD, and the porting team has to maintain their own patches

Yes I will give GhostBSD a try. It is the same as using Arch by installing Manjaro or using Debian by installing. Telegram Desktop would be great and drivers for my Dymo-label printer.

dymo-cups maybe it’s there. Or get it up and running at my raspberry pi and use that as a printer server. Or use a live mx linux in case I need to print. I don’t use the label printer daily.

On FreeBSD it isn’t a problem
But on GhostBSD it can break your system

Hello, I'm a real noob about OS, I wanted to go on Linux firstly (I tried Manjaro and Void) and tried OpenBSD (but had a lot of issues).

If I learn a lot about architecture, and some line commands about FreeBSD, and maybe buy a book about this OS, is it a good idea to go on it for someone who wants coding (C) and uses it as the main OS?
