Known "problem" in 12.2 is to install drm-kmod from ports only, pkg version is mismatched.

this may seem like a really ‘sysadmin 101’ question (because it is rather) but, hey ho.

im playing around with PF_RING and a 10gbps server, ive written some stuff to basically do a lot of http requests very very fast and it works rather nicely so far, but to avoid the lacklustre performance I get from Unbound with a default config (about the extent of my experience setting up DNS servers) I’m having to pre-resolve all my targets to avoid things clogging up....
tldr; how should I setup a recursive DNS server capable of handling a pretty extreme number of concurrent queries, ive got 10gbps to play with and i’d ideally like something that if i pushed it, would be capable of getting close to filling a pipe that sort of size

dnsmasq and a lot of servers from public-dns.info is an option, filtering out all the iffy ones is actually a bit of a pain and again, id love to hear from anybody with actual working knowledge of this stuff
Anonymous
or indeed if there’s some third party service who provide this? (not seen one, but might try searching properly now)
Anonymous
Hmmm while Evil i think Amazon Route 53 does this.... but the question is do i need to be usings AWS in order to use it...
Anonymous
